Qatar Airways has unveiled its expanded winter schedule for 2025, offering increased flight frequencies to over 15 global destinations. As part of its efforts to meet growing demand, the airline is providing travelers with more options and flexibility when booking flights, particularly through its hub at Hamad International Airport, the award-winning airport in Doha. Notably, the airline has significantly boosted its services to London Heathrow, increasing the frequency to up to 10 daily flights, marking its highest-ever number of flights to this crucial destination.
This new winter schedule reflects Qatar Airways’ commitment to enhancing connectivity for both leisure and business travelers across its global network. With a focus on both high-demand routes and key global markets, the airline is making it easier than ever for passengers to plan their travels for the winter season.
Among the destinations seeing expanded flight frequencies is London Heathrow, with Qatar Airways now offering up to 10 daily flights to the UK’s busiest airport. This increase underscores the airline’s importance in connecting the Middle East with the United Kingdom, complementing British Airways’ own double-daily services to the same hub. Other cities also experiencing significant increases in flight availability include Abu Dhabi, Cape Town, São Paulo, and Berlin. These expansions reflect Qatar Airways’ continued efforts to meet passenger demand while strengthening its position as a leader in global aviation.
For example, Qatar Airways has increased flights to Abu Dhabi from five daily services to up to six daily flights, providing passengers with more options for this popular route. Similarly, flights to Cape Town have increased from 10 weekly flights to up to 12 weekly services, making it even easier for travelers to explore South Africa’s scenic city. In São Paulo, flights have risen from 14 weekly services to up to 18, reinforcing Qatar Airways’ strong presence in the Brazilian market.
Other destinations benefiting from increased frequencies include Dublin, Frankfurt, Johannesburg, Madrid, and Toronto. These markets are particularly important for Qatar Airways, as they represent both leisure and business hubs with strong demand for international travel. The airline is expanding services to cater to this demand and ensure travelers can take advantage of convenient flight schedules.
Beyond its core European and African markets, Qatar Airways is also making strides in Asia and Australia. Notably, the airline is launching flights from Melbourne to Doha in partnership with Virgin Australia, marking a significant step in its commitment to expanding capacity on this vital route. In addition, Qatar Airways is reintroducing services to Canberra, further improving connectivity between Australia and the rest of the world.
For Asian destinations, Qatar Airways is also increasing its presence in Tokyo Narita, boosting the frequency of its flights from 11 weekly services to up to 14. This will provide travelers with more options to fly between Doha and Japan, a key route for both business and tourism. The airline has similarly increased its flight offerings to the Maldives, with up to four daily services compared to the previous three.
Qatar Airways’ expanded winter schedule is supported by the airline’s modern and diverse fleet of aircraft, including 54 Boeing 777s, each equipped with ultra-high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi. This service, which is free for all passengers, offers internet speeds of up to 500 Mbps on each aircraft. Qatar Airways is the first airline in the world to fully equip and operate over 50 widebody aircraft with Starlink, setting a new standard for in-flight connectivity. This technology is also available on the airline’s Airbus A350 fleet, with plans to complete Starlink installation across the entire fleet within the next year.
Passengers traveling in both premium and economy cabins benefit from the free, gate-to-gate Wi-Fi service, ensuring a seamless and connected experience throughout their journey. The onboard Wi-Fi speeds offer passengers the ability to work, stream content, and stay connected with family and friends while traveling at cruising altitude.
The expansion of Qatar Airways’ flight network further enhances Doha’s position as a global travel hub. Hamad International Airport, the airline’s primary base, is recognized as one of the best airports in the Middle East and is central to Qatar Airways’ strategy of providing seamless connectivity to destinations worldwide. The increased frequencies to key international cities provide travelers with more choice, allowing for better travel planning and more convenient flight options.
In addition to expanding existing routes, Qatar Airways is continuously exploring new markets and opportunities to meet evolving travel demands. This includes strengthening its partnerships with other global airlines and increasing its presence in emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
As the World’s Best Airline, Qatar Airways continues to lead the aviation industry in terms of both service quality and global connectivity. The airline’s ability to consistently expand its flight offerings to some of the most in-demand destinations in the world is a testament to its commitment to delivering an exceptional travel experience. With its cutting-edge fleet, enhanced service offerings, and growing network of destinations, Qatar Airways is well-positioned to meet the needs of passengers in the upcoming winter season.
The airline’s winter schedule increases the number of flight options for travelers to top destinations such as London, Cape Town, São Paulo, and Tokyo Narita. As demand for air travel continues to grow, Qatar Airways remains dedicated to offering unparalleled convenience and connectivity, ensuring travelers can reach their desired destinations with ease.
