In a statement to Fox News Digital, Lincoln-Goldfinch publicly addressed the issue for the first time, saying, "A post referencing the death of Charlie Kirk was removed from our account. We recognized the post could be misconstrued and that's why it came down. We have also addressed this issue internally."

In a LinkedIn post last year, Lincoln-Goldfinch offered condolences to the Kirk family, pointing to "gun violence" as one of the main takeaways.

"My heart goes out to the family of Charlie Kirk," she wrote. "Incidents like these are a painful reminder that none of us is truly safe from gun violence. We owe it to each other to process this event with compassion and seriousness, and also to approach solutions with equal seriousness."
